Ever since I could remember beauty was always fascinating to me.
I remember standing next to my mother as she sat at her vanity table applying all the products she loved, a mishmosh of Chanel, Shiseido and Lancome, her favs. She always had something new and exciting to try. I just couldn't wait until she got up from her stool so I could sneak and apply some lipstick on myself.
As I got into my teens, I would pride myself on saving every last dime of my babysitiing money so I could dash to the nearest Nordstrom to purchase my favorite MAC shadow or lipstick. The more fascinated I became with beauty and makeup, the more my excitement exuded to those around me. By 14 years old, I was being ask to do makeup for my friends and my sisters friends for all the dances and special events they attended. It all began with a young girl's passion and gift of gab long before social media (haha).
Finally, after 10 years of doing makeup for events, dances and weddings , my passion came to fruition when I attended Studio Makeup Academy in 2009, where I received my makeup certification in Beauty, Editorial and TV makeup. My dream was now my reality and I was being paid to do what I love.
Making brides feel special and beautiful from the inside out, was my first "real" job in the beauty industry. Being a part of someone's BIG day is such an honor and the enjoyment of seeing the brides and her bridal party loving the way they look, is a feeling like no other.
Someone once said that when one door closes another opens and for me the doors began to open and I was humbled to work with photographers on their shoots for print and commercials.
I absolutely love what I do and couldn't imagine myself in any other profession. Just plain and simple....beauty!
